I agree Paul, from what I have read I would not want to mess with these things either. Nonetheless, there are many examples (PG film, personal stories) of these things simply going in opposite directions of humans, so it's hard to say. Erroring on the side of caution would probably be the best track in this situation. The account (I believe by a tracker and close friend of Teddy Roosevelt) in the late 1800s is an interesting series of events showing their aggression I've read a few stories/accounts of things (dogs, people, etc) being torn limb from limb....not good. I like to camp, hike, fish and hunt (primarily deer and smaller animals). Chasing a giant ape (that could kill me in a most gruesome way) through the woods is just not my idea of fun, LOL!

Some good posts from credible people that are not out for something to gain (i.e. monetary, attention, ego, etc.). It is my view that Todd did have a sighting and that he's trying to gain protection for the species, but does not have the "smoking gun" video or photo. Now, the interviews are getting tired and are sounding more and more forced. I would recommend that he lay back a bit and do more field research (setting up night camera/video in trees in sighting areas).
A sighting of a bigfoot is about equivalent to winning a $10,000+ lottery. If such a remarkable event did take place, I doubt that I would have the mindset to film a 5 second episode with camera in hand, as opposed to wanting to see the creature with my own eyes and missing the 5 second recording.

If I was attempting to boost my ego, it definitely wouldnt be on a bigfoot discussion board...I know you'd like to see this video as much as anybody who visits this site. Todd Standing wouldnt lose anything in showing it...

Why do I believe that Bigfoot doesn't exist?
Well the answer is simple, no conclusive proof as of yet.
The Colossal Squid which was recently discovered was also thought of as a myth a couple of years back. Now we know that these animals exist because of the proof.
Doesn't it seem funny that the pictures of Bigfoot without struggling with these niggling questions.
I believe that if Bigfoot was real, then the discovery would have gone along the same lines as the Colossal Squids discovery.
1. We would have seen clear pictures. 2. We would have seen documentaries. 3. National Geographic Society would have supported it.
However I really want to believe that Bigfoot is real, because it would be the most interesting discovery in my lifetime.

Doesn't it seem funny that the pictures of Bigfoot is always unclear and totally scrambled, while you never have those type of problems when filming other "real" animals that we know exists. I can't believe in Bigfoot without these niggling questions remaining unanswered.

Todd calls video 3 "definitive evidence" of the existence of Bigfoot. He goes on to say that you can see the animals muscles and tendons and even a female BF's breasts. Then he says he needs more proof. Well, which is it? People who have seen it say its similar to The Blair Witch Project ie shaky and out of focus like every other BF video. As an aside the Patterson footage will always remain top shelf as far as proof.

As stated numerous times, a BF body will need to be produced, in order to confirm the existence of this primate. Even then, you will have naysayers who will come up with conspiracy theories about the body. With the doubt and speculation cast upon video as evidence these days, I doubt even a clear shot of BF would suffice, maybe it would, hopefully it would.

Even as a skeptic myself I would more likely be convinced by some nice clear steady video. The Patterson footage is truly remarkable and has stood up to scrutiny. Todd calls his footage "definitive evidence" but it is anything but according to people who have seen it.

I've been interested in Bigfoot for many years. When i first found Sylvanic.com i was please to review new info. After doing so I'm kinda confused. Todd Standing does not seem to be doing this for money or fame, but won't show all the film footage. I'm not asking for the location of the Bigfoot group, just the film footage. If its that convincing of evidence. Why not show it. Mr. Standing says he needs to protect the Bigfoot first, but wouldn't this help his cause to protect them?? something just doesn't add up. thanks for your time Lee

First of I'm a believer. I have seen Sasquatch and know for a fact they are a real animal. But they are just that, an animal. No one believed in mountain gorillas but hey, a dead one proved them wrong. Harvesting is the only way to actually provide protection for them, Especially if they are of a higher mental order than your average bear. New species are discovered everyday. Just a few weeks ago I watched a show where scientists cut the tentacles off of jellyfish to study their toxins. Why would killing one animal be so dang dangerous to them, couldn't one be sacrificed to provide sanctuary. I have hunted for 35 years and have spent enough time in deep brush to know that nature takes care of her own, and killing one is the only to not only prove they exist, and provide governmental provisions of protection which already exist in every state excepting Hawaii. {Deleted Because Of Insulting Content}
